How to compare and specify this product family

For VIZpin Entegrity Smart Locks, Intercom and Visitor Management, the right model and architecture depend on the site, existing infrastructure and operating policy. A proposal should clearly document the following intercom and visitor-entry system decisions before equipment is ordered:

  • Resident, tenant and directory workflow
  • Audio/video quality at the proposed mounting point
  • Mobile, desk-station and accessibility needs
  • Door release, elevator and access-control interfaces
  • Network, PoE, cellular and call-routing requirements
  • Privacy, administrator roles and after-hours procedures

Installation, testing and handoff

Planning follows the visitor journey from arrival through verification, calling, release and audit history. We confirm mounting and accessibility, lighting and acoustics, door hardware, network paths, call routing, directory ownership and failover behavior. Commissioning tests every call destination and release path, including mobile and front-desk workflows, and verifies administrator roles and notification settings. The handoff includes directory-update procedures, user training and a documented support path.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about applying VIZpin Entegrity locks, intercom and visitor tools to a property’s daily access workflow.

What does the Entegrity line cover?

VIZpin describes Entegrity products for locks, intercoms and visitor management, plus APIs and SDKs for OEM and property integrations. Which lock or intercom model applies to your property is confirmed against current availability, the subscription that goes with it and the mobile app in use. VIZpin’s own pages, including the long-range BLE reader listing, are the reference for what is offered now.

How do we let a contractor in for one morning?

Through the visitor invitations, schedules and audit trail workflow, which lets the property grant access for a defined window and keeps the record of who entered. Set the rules before turnover: who may issue an invitation, how long it stays valid, and what a contractor does when arriving outside the window.

Where should the intercom station be mounted?

At a point where audio and video quality hold up, judged at the proposed mounting point rather than assumed from a floor plan. Backlight at a glass entrance, traffic noise and the reach requirements for accessibility all move the answer. Mobile, desk-station and accessibility needs for the people answering calls are settled in the same pass.

What has to be checked at the door before a smart lock is ordered?

The door, lock, free-egress, accessibility and fire-alarm requirements for that opening, recorded one by one. Free egress governs how the door releases from the inside no matter what the credential does, and the fire-alarm requirement decides whether the lock releases on alarm. Network, power, standby battery and outage behavior go on the same sheet.

Will Entegrity exchange data with our property-management system?

VIZpin describes APIs and SDKs for OEM and property integrations, so a link is possible in principle. What has to be settled is API/SDK and property-management integration ownership: who writes and maintains it, who holds its credentials and who repairs it when a field changes. Current licenses, subscriptions, firmware and integrations are inventoried before that work is scoped.

We already have access control installed. Does Entegrity replace it or work with it?

Either path is open, and an inventory of what is installed decides which one. Boston High Tech inventories existing equipment and validates current manufacturer compatibility before specifying reuse, migration or replacement, and the door release, elevator and access-control interfaces are scoped from that inventory. Entegrity product selection follows the inventory instead of leading it.
