IDenticard PremiSys Access Control and Mobile Management product overview

Products and selection guidance

PremiSys provides door/cardholder administration, reporting, alarm response and mobile functions such as lock/unlock, access-right changes and video viewing. Define server/version, panels, reader formats, lockdown procedure, video integration and mobile administrator policy before upgrade or expansion.

  • PremiSys software, operators and reports
  • Mobile monitoring, cardholder and lockdown functions
  • Video/biometric reader integrations
  • Panel, reader and database migration planning
  • Door, lock, free-egress, accessibility and fire-alarm requirements
  • Network, power, standby battery and outage behavior
  • Current licenses, subscriptions, firmware and integrations
  • Administrator training, backup, documentation and maintenance

Site-specific design

Boston High Tech inventories existing equipment and validates current manufacturer compatibility before specifying reuse, migration or replacement. Qualifications may be confirmed privately when needed; license numbers, certificate copies and named certificate-holder details are not published.

How to compare and specify this product family

For IDenticard PremiSys Access Control and Mobile Management, the right model and architecture depend on the site, existing infrastructure and operating policy. A proposal should clearly document the following access-control system decisions before equipment is ordered:

  • Number and type of controlled openings
  • Controller, reader, lock and credential compatibility
  • Cloud or on-premise administration and ownership
  • Offline behavior, backup power and emergency operation
  • Directory, HR, video, visitor and elevator integrations
  • Licensing, cybersecurity, training and lifecycle support

Installation, testing and handoff

A site survey records each opening, door hardware, cable path, power, network, credential policy and integration requirement. The design then maps readers, controllers, locks, inputs, outputs and administrator roles to the operational workflow. Commissioning includes door-by-door functional tests, failure-mode and backup-power checks, permission and schedule tests, event verification, administrator training and as-built documentation. Product availability, subscriptions and supported integrations are confirmed for the current project before procurement.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about running, upgrading or expanding a PremiSys system across doors, credentials, alarms and mobile administration.

What can an administrator do from a phone?

PremiSys mobile functions include lock and unlock, access-right changes and video viewing. Which operators get which of those functions is set by the mobile administrator policy, and that policy is written before the app is handed out. An operator who can change access rights from a phone carries a different risk from one who can only watch video.

Is lockdown something we run from PremiSys, or a separate procedure?

Both: lockdown is among the PremiSys functions covered here, alongside door and cardholder administration, reporting and alarm response, and the work sits in the lockdown procedure itself. Which doors are included, who may start it, how staff are told and how it is cleared all get written and rehearsed, because the software follows that procedure rather than defining it.

Do our existing panels and readers survive an upgrade?

That comes out of panel, reader and database migration planning, not out of the software version alone. Boston High Tech inventories the installed equipment and validates current manufacturer compatibility before specifying reuse, migration or replacement, so the reader formats in the field are compared against what the new configuration expects. Cards in circulation are counted in the same pass.

What has to be defined before we expand to more doors?

Server and version, panels, reader formats, lockdown procedure, video integration and mobile administrator policy, all defined before the upgrade or expansion is ordered. Door, lock, free-egress, accessibility and fire-alarm requirements are recorded for each new opening, and network, power, standby battery and outage behavior are checked for the panel that will serve them.

Can we see camera video alongside access events?

Video viewing is one of the PremiSys mobile functions, and video/biometric reader integrations are defined per project rather than assumed. Which cameras, which recorder and which biometric readers fall in scope is confirmed against the current licenses, subscriptions, firmware and integrations for your server and version. Name the integration in the scope document so it is installed and tested, not discovered at cutover.

What is the backup plan for the PremiSys database after handover?

It belongs to whoever owns the server the software runs on, and that name is recorded at handover. Administrator training, backup, documentation and maintenance transfer as one package, so the operator who runs reports is not left guessing about the backup schedule. Agree where backups live and who tests a restore, since an untested backup is a plan, not a recovery.
