hi, so i’ve recently gotten more into photography, and I use my lil Canon EOS 70D, going between the standard EF-S 18-55mm lens and my zoom lens (EF-S 55-250mm). I’ve only recently got the zoom lens, but I know I do enjoy taking landscapes, and animal photography (so i guess like birdwatching and such lol). So I’m asking about the Lumix, purely because it’s come up in a local auction house second-hand in an online auction they’re running, and it comes with the Lumix 14-140 lens (H-VS014140). I know the camera itself is from 2009, so it’s a little old, but if I can get it at a cheap price (and then purchase the battery charger etc elsewhere), do you think I would get some decent use out of it? or would it be a waste? I like the idea of the possible versatility of the lens i.e. not switching between my standard and the zoom lens. by decent price, I do mean that its currently sitting at about $60 AUD (so $45 USD give or take), and it might go up a little more, but I doubt it’d go for a lot more, and considering the cost for just a lens of similar focal length for my canon dslr goes well into the hundreds, this could fill that niche. so yeah if anyone has an opinion for this situation, fire away! ahaha
